08.30 Pick up from your
hotel, we will drive to the west up Doi
Suthep mountain to visit the most revered
Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai named Wat
Pratart Doi Suthep. This temple is
a must-see place worth a visit because of its
golden pagoda containing Buddha's relic and
its stature as the major landmark overlooking
the city.
From there, we proceed on through the forested
Doi Pui mountain to visit a
Hmong (Meo) village living
on top of the mountain. The Hmong
are the 2nd largest hilltribe group in Thailand.
Visit the Hmong's museum ,
walk around the village and the garden , then
go to Phuping Palace, a royal
residence of King Poomipol Rama 9th.
Enjoy walking around the flower garden there
for half an hour, then go down to visit Wat
Suan Dok and Wat Jed Yod,
the historical temples of Lanna kingdom. Then
return to your hotel.
