From your hotel, we will drive north along the
scenic road from Chiang
Mai to Chiang Rai.
On the way take a 15 minute visit at a
hot spring, then continue on 1.5 hours
to Chiang Saen. Visit an ancient
temple Wat JD Luang there, Then go
to Golden Triangle, the infamous
meeting point of Thailand, Laos and Burma. You
will learn the story of opium
and enjoy a beautiful view of the mighty Mekong
river. After lunch, we drive along
the Burmese border to Mae
Sai, the northernmost point in Thailand.
After walking around the border market there,
we will drive back to Chiang Mai.

From your hotel, we will drive north along the
scenic road for 1 hour to visit Chiang
Dao Cave, the largest cave in Chiang
Mai. After, we drive through the hilly mountains
to Thaton. We will climb the
mountain to visit Diamond Pagoda and
a large Standing Buddha at the viewpoint of
Wat Thaton opposite of Burma.After
lunch at the Kok riverside,
we will visit Akha, Lahu and Long Neck
hilltribes, then take a 1 hour drive
to sight-seeing around the city of Chiang
Rai. After that we take you to Wat
Rong Kun the most famous temple in
Thailand with its glittering facade. Later,
we enjoy traveling through local villages,
rice fields and a short break at the
hotspring. Then return to your
hotel.
